Coatham United Football Club, Cleveland Junior Cup winners 1909

Coatham United were Cleveland Junior Cup winners in 1909, thanks in no small part to future FA Amateur Cup winner Stanley Borrie and future Middlesbrough, Hartlepool and Darlington goalkeeper Harry Harrison in the squad. They also had John Hutton, a member of Redcar Council, on the committee. They took the trophy home thanks to a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough St. Mary’s College.

The team competed in the South Bank League the following season, but their history does not extend much longer than that.
